Just a reminder that this deal ends Thursday!
If you’ve been reading my Daily Chatter posts over the past couple of months, you might have noticed that I’m a compulsive declutter-er. I didn’t used to be quite so bad, but as we’ve added children to our family – and those children have gotten bigger – I’ve started to become very overwhelmed by the stuff that happens when seven people live together. So, I’m constantly evaluating the stuff in our house and deciding if it’s really necessary to keep. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of stuff over the past year!
Some of you have commented that you want to get rid of stuff, but don’t know where to start. I am so excited that Dana from A Slob Comes Clean has written a new ebook called Drowning in Clutter? Don’t Grab a Floatie – Drain the Ocean! Just like her other book, 28 Days to Hope for Your Home, this book is a very simple, hold-your-hand guide to getting rid of the clutter that’s overwhelming your life.
I can honestly credit Dana’s first book with helping me to establish the habit of doing the dishes every night before I go to bed. She writes in such a straightforward, no-nonsense way, and she doesn’t complicate it with a bunch of philosophy. It’s practical, you-can-do-this-immediately advice.
Dana covers just about everything in this book:
- Tons of how to declutter tips (I especially appreciated her strategy only having a box for donations and a trash can when you are on a decluttering project, and just putting stuff away as you go!)
- How to help your kids and husband declutter their stuff
- How to part with stuff that you know you could sell on eBay
- How to know if you should save something for “just in case”
- How to evaluate how much of certain items (clothing, kitchen items, etc.) you actually need
If I were going to write a book about decluttering, this would be it. I wish more home management books were written in Dana’s style because it’s so practical and easy to put to use! Dana tells you what to do and makes you believe you can do it, and do it now. I’m not raving about it because I got a free copy or because I get a small percentage of the sale if you buy – I truly believe that this could really be a life-changing book if you are drowning in clutter and need real help, right now.
Dana is running a special sale for my readers: through January 24th, you can use code COLORADO to get the Drowning in Clutter book or the 28 Days To Hope For Your Home ebooks for $3.00 each. Or, purchase both in a set for just $5.00 with the COLORADO coupon code!
