$1.99 for Pantry Essentials (gallon) at Safeway
This used to be such a better deal. They used to offer 50% off an order of 5 or more, which was a far better deal. I haven’t been very happy with prices, food, or service from Chipotle lately.
I thought the same thing when I saw it. My family of 5 doesn’t need 7 burritos. I specifically looked for this deal today, since I didn’t want to make dinner tonight (tortilla soup is now in the crockpot). Like many restaurants and stores, their idea and my idea of a “deal” is very different- seems to be the way things are going these days. Disappointing.
I couldn’t remember what it had been in the past, but I knew it wasn’t quite as good. A bummer, but as a business owner, I know that operational costs are rising and I would expect that the deals aren’t going to get any better.
