Yesterday I was doing some cleaning out and started going through the file cabinet. I found a bunch of files that Jeremy has had since high school and some stuff we’d dreamed about as newlyweds and oh, it was so fun to go through them! The stuff that was kept – in a very neat filing system - just made me laugh and fall even more in love with my husband because it just reminded me of who he is. Hey, and if you ever need a 1992 map of Telluride, Colorado (?!), you can just come over and browse through our file cabinet. :)
(OK, actually not because it’s getting cleaned out. So if you do want that 1992 map of Telluride, speak up now!)
I’ve been reminded recently how awesome it is that Jeremy and I have known each other since we were kids. His family started going to “my” church when he was maybe ten and I was eight, and while we weren’t really part of the same circle of friends until high school, it’s really fun to have known each other for that long. We have a lot of shared memories from as far back as middle school! I’m really grateful that God blessed us with that.

I also reorganized our winter gear tubs and it finally clicked that it wouldn’t be such a mess if I kept the kid stuff and the adult stuff separated. Jeremy and I have things like ski pants and long underwear and ski goggles and all that (last time we used them = so long ago I can’t remember), and it ends up getting strewn all over when the kids want to get out their stuff to play in the snow. So, we now have one tub of adult stuff that isn’t to be opened, and a couple of tubs of kid stuff. Not sure why it took me so long to figure that out.
Finally, can someone tell me why they still deliver these? I understand that there are a few people that might still use them, but surely it would be more cost-effective to deliver them only to the people who request them? Ha, well, as I was resizing this picture I realized that that the bag has a website that you can go to opt-out. Consider that done!

As I read your organizing the winter bin, I wondered about having clothes pins close that the kids could pin matches together. May not work for big bulky boots but big clips would also be a fun twist. I use safety pins to hook multiple swim suit pieces together. Works great!
That’s a good idea! A lot of our gloves have clips on them which, when I clip them together, works great – but they are hard for ME to get off and on, much less the kids! I like the clips idea.
