Sprouts Weekly: Oranges for $0.25/lb, Green Bell Peppers for $0.33 Each + More

Lots of great produce deals again this week at Sprouts, including a fantastic price on oranges – finally! I’ll probably be buying a bunch and zesting and juicing them (freezing the zest and the juice).

These deals are valid February 13-20, 2013.

  1. Dear Sprouts – three words – lettuce sale, please!

    XO,
    me

    • LOL! We had a run a month or so ago where lettuce was $0.88 for a few weeks – I’d like to see that again!

      • A few weeks ago I noticed a sign at Sprouts that explained why lettuce is so expensive. A hard freeze destroyed many of the lettuce plants in Arizona anfd a few other states. I am craving a good salad, but I refuse to pay $2.50/head for Romaine!

        • I was just thinking that something must have happened to the crop, because no one has lettuce on sale. I picked up a nice (big) head at Walmart for 1.98, and I have about a bowl’s worth of red leaf lettuce from the last time it was on sale (I’m shocked it’s kept this long, but yay!) I will make this head last as long as I can, and I’m sure thankful for the other items that are on sale! I think I’m going to try a few new ways with oranges this week. :)

  2. liz (lemon tree) says:

I got free wholly guacamole there yesterday. At least 5 flavors were on sale for 2\3.00 and there was a 1.50 facebook Q a few days ago. There is also a 1.00 Q on their facebook now so still a great deal. They have the plain chunky that is good and verde which is like green salsa and guac mixed.

  3. So, 88 cents may not be as low as Avocados go, but I just got back from Sprout and those are the biggest Avocados I’ve ever seen!!!! Well worth the price! Now gotta try the freezing method. ;-)

    • Nice! We had guacamole last week with some of the super cheap ones and it was sooooo good – I may just pick up some for $0.88!
