The Altoids coupon has “available at Walmart” written on it and beeped when I tried to use it at King Soopers. The cashier said these can only be at the store listed. I can see the rationale if it stated “redeemable at Walmart” but not with the above writing. It’s frustrating to see many of the coupons on Coupons.com with a Walmart logo now. Not sure why that is but it’s very limiting….
I had wondered about that too – if I would have a problem using it elsewhere, but I used two of them at the KS on Stetson Hills with no problem whatsoever. I do believe it is OK to use them anywhere (because they say ‘manufacturer’s coupon’ on them, not ‘Walmart coupon’. I also think it depends a lot which cashier you get. I don’t know if my coupons beeped or not, because we were in the self-check area, and they take the coupons with them and scan them with a handheld device or over at a cashier station that is for 6-12 different self-check pods. So…you might try again, with a different cashier and/or at a different store. Good luck!
Thanks for this! fyi when i was at ks yesterday i went through this 10 min ordeal with an asian lady (older) who kept stepping behind my car with a baby. First it was with a cart and she just kept standing there. My car was running and I had put it in reverse. And she was looking right at me the whole time. I thought she left and then had to wait for someone to go by and she was back again. I kept putting the car back in park and was about to get out of the car and tell I was trying to pull out. IDK but it was like she wanted to get hit. Or maybe she just came to this country and was babysitting. Either way it was really weird.
My favorite checker at the Stetson Hills King Soopers told me today that the King Soopers system has been changed to not accept any printable coupons that say “Redeemable at _______” (Walmart, Target, etc) even though they are manufacturer coupons (that’s why they beeped). King Soopers does not get reimbursed on those coupons. I know we used to be able to use those coupons anywhere but we can’t anymore at King Soopers. They still take printable coupons but not ones that are redeemable at a different store.
