If you missed it yesterday, this deal is still available!
Wow, I should have waited to purchase my Sam’s Club membership – Living Social is running a super hot deal right now! You can get a one-year membership for $45, plus it includes a $20 Sam’s Club gift card and $19.84 in food vouchers, so that makes it $5.16 after the gift card and free food!
The food vouchers are valid for an Artisan Fresh Rotisserie Chicken, a 16″ Artisan Fresh Take-and-Bake Pizza, and two boxes of 6-, 12-, or 24-count Artisan Fresh Cookies.
This is valid for new members only (ie, anyone who doesn’t currently have a membership). It looks like you will just take the voucher to Sam’s Club starting on March 7th to get the membership and bonuses.

Do we ever see deals for Costco?
On occasion they send out deals in the mail (usually like a gift card with membership purchase), but it’s been a long time since I’ve personally seen one of those.
Thx for the response! Just don’t live near the Costcos to make this deal more feasible.
I’ve been holding our for free weekends, but those are fewer and far between. And I’m almost out of a bunch of spices I buy in bulk!
Even if you have a Costco membership, this price is a no brainer IMO.
I know – those free weekends are rare these days, especially without a surcharge!
I went ahead and got a membership, after resisting all these years because the cost of admission was prohibitive for our little family. After I bought it, it said that if 3 people buy from my link, I’ll get my deal for free…so I posted it to my FB and blog and emailed a friend. I’m hoping that works out too!! As good as this deal is, free would be better, since money is so tight.
No. Way. You are a Sam’s Club member! After I got one, I thought you were the only holdout left! ;)
Well, I was a holdout. Grocery wise, it won’t do a ton for us, but the savings on Hubby’s OTC allergy stuff alone will pay the $6 and then some…plus I’m afraid they won’t do the free days since they had this offer. There are a few things that we will buy there too, I think. At any rate, this is a great way to see if a year’s membership is ‘worth it’. You can bet I’ll be saving all my receipts! :)
I went ahead and purchased this deal, because I heard milk is cheaper here than Costco. I have a 10-month-old who will be going to whole milk in a couple of months and that alone is worth $5.00. I’d be interested to know what other items people prefer to get from Sam’s over Costco.
I can’t compare Sam’s vs. Costco but here’s what I’m buying at Sam’s: http://springsbargains.com/2013/01/why-i-bought-a-sams-club-membership-and-what-im-buying/
We have a Costco membership but honestly buy very little there. We are military so the commissary is generally a better deal especially with coupons. Actually going to Costco is a source of entertainment for us. I know that is so lame but we like to get the 59 cent sodas, walk around, see what’s new, eat samples, buy our usual items, refill our sodas and leave. (Our kids are in school). And I really like their $4.99 rotisserie chickens. I may buy the Sam’s deal for the same reason. I love their soft pretzels! I know it is a stupid reason since you don’t have to be a member to buy food at the cafe but I hate to argue with the door people. I’m sure we could find some items that are cheaper there than Costco and the commissary. It’s probably worth $5.
Does anyone know the prices for Boneless Chicken Breasts and Bone-in Pork Chops at Sam’s? We used to have a Costco membership and we used it for meat and some veggies, I didn’t renew because I was able to get better prices in the grocery store.
I think, last time I checked, the chicken breasts were either $1.77 or $1.88/lb at Sam’s, if you bought the store brand.
