The free splash parks and play fountains in Colorado Springs are open or will be opening soon! Here’s the info:
The Julie Penrose Fountain at America the Beautiful Park opened on May 26th and runs daily from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
The Uncle Wilbur Fountain at Acacia Park is now open and runs daily starting at 10:00 AM.
The splash area at First and Main Town Center (in front of Cinemark Theatre) is now open and runs daily starting at 10:00 AM
And, the Deerfield Hills Sprayground opens June 1st and runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday; and 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. (Closes at 4 PM Monday-Friday starting August 12th.)
This one’s not free, but if you are headed to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (zoo discounts and coupons here), be sure to stop by My Big Backyard inside the zoo for a cool mist!
