Sprouts Weekly Deals (8/20-8/27): Grape Tomatoes, Organic Strawberries, Palisade Peaches on Sale

The top deals at Sprouts this week include Palisade peaches for $1.48/lb – not as cheap as they were on the weekend sale a couple of weeks ago, but still a pretty great price for local peaches.  I finally got around to doing something with the peaches I bought on that weekend sale (yes, they were more than ripe!) and made Honey-Sweetened Peach-Vanilla Jam and am in the process of making some peach butter.  The jam is really good!

I noticed that Sprouts has changed the shelf price on their sausage from the butcher counter from $3.99/lb to $4.99/lb and they definitely haven’t been doing as many $2.99/lb sales lately.  I hope they do one soon (there’s no $2.99/lb sale this week) because I really liked being able to just throw the main dish on the grill with no prep and we haven’t done that nearly as much with the price increase and fewer sales.

These deals are valid August 20-27, 2014. [rss-cut]

  1. Elizabeth says:

I miss the days of $1.99/lb for sausage (on sale). I haven’t seen a good stock up (freezer) price in forever. :-(. Prices started going up with the sprouts merger and don’t look like they will go back down.

Thanks for always posting these, I read every week!

    • You’re welcome, Elizabeth! It is always good to know that people still use the grocery deals posts! :)

Can you believe that I remember when it went on sale for $1.69/lb a couple of times?!

      • I’m with you 100%. Remember the days of red peppers, 3 for $1.00?

        • Yes – although that sale only came after Sprouts bought out Sunflower Market. FWIW, I think the sales have changed since the change of store ownership but I think some deals are better and some aren’t as good.

  2. I think organic celery and organic kale for 98 cents a bunch is a good deal :)
