City Rock is a new rock climbing facility at 21 North Nevada Avenue, and to celebrate their grand opening, they’re having free climbing from 10 AM to 6 PM this Saturday and Sunday.

It may be busy – free rock climbing sessions don’t come around often – so plan to be patient if you want to climb. More info on their website.

Bonus: local cyclist and Twitter friend UltraRob has a great sneak-preview of City Rock Climbing Gym. It looks incredible!

There are lots of fun, free events this weekend – I’ll be back on Friday with a roundup!

Thanks to the Gazette for the tip!

FYI-Peterson AFB has a climbing room at the gym, and it is free. You just have to be able to get on base, and take the belaying class. It’s good for beginner’s as it is not very big-it’s a converted raquetball court. But it’s enough to get me nervous!

We went to the Rock Climbing today I thought it might be hectic. It was not bad at all it was very organized. My kids and hubby enjoyed it.
