Lots of great deals at Safeway this week! I’m loving the free toothpaste, and hoping for some hot deals with the Proctor and Gamble promotion.
Remember that all Safeways in Colorado double coupons. Some stores may not accept more than one printable coupon per transaction. Here’s info on the Safeway coupon policy.
Also, Safeway has store coupons available on their website – there are some hot ones for $2 off a Rancher’s Reserve purchase of $10+, $1 off O Organics salads, and more. Check them out!

I’m excited about the tomato soup. I have been wanting tomato soup for a while.
It’s been awhile since it’s gone on sale! I think I forgot to mention it in the post, but I *think* we’re kind of getting out of “soup season” and heading towards warmer-weather foods, so you soup lovers may want to consider stocking however much you want until next fall.
Now that I say that, we’ll probably get a bunch of soup freebies next week, but thought I’d at least throw it out there!
I shopped at the Safeway up at Powers & Constitution last night, and they were firm on the “one printable coupon per customer/transaction” thing. Bummer!
Try shopping at the Safeway on Union and Academy. I’ve never had them fuss about coupons, even multiple printibles.
I shop at the Safeway at Union and Academy and just wanted to echo Kay’s statement–I’ve never had an issue with printables or anything at all. I tried to use a coupon on some clearance lunchmeat once though and they said that wasn’t allowed since it was already marked down, so no biggie.
go through self check….
Everyone probably already knows this, but Safeway (at least the one at Austin Bluffs and Academy) will write rain checks when they blow out of things, but they are only good at the store you get the rain check at. I’ve also gotten rain checks at Sunflower and King Soopers.
I went tonight — the Ore Ida products are $3.49 each. There’s a Steam ‘n’ Mash printable for $1/1 that you can use, PLUS you get a $1 catalina from Steam ‘n’ Mash when you checkout!
If you picked up the Make it Tonight coupon booklet, there is a $3 off coupon for Rice-A-Roni if you buy 10. That makes them $0.45 each! Don’t eat them all at once though, they are loaded with sodium!
I am not sure if they are still there or not, but at the pharmacy they have a coupon book called deliciously aware. Inside there were coupons for the 100 calorie packs $1/2 I think.
I know it’s kinda late to be saying, but the Sweet and Salty Natures Valley granola bars are included, and we had .50 off coupons for those, so they will only be .50 each! Wahoo!
In our Denver Post there was an ad for Safeway that included 10-lb. bags of russet potatoes for $.99 through Tuesday! My last few have gone spuddy so I am headed back for a bag even though I went yesterday for oranges, chickens and toothpaste. I did so awesome and only came out with those items + one red velvet cake yoplait (King’s has always been out of that new flavor) and one doughnut that was for my daughter. Usually I impulse buy more than that so I was proud!
Oh by the way Carrie, when I went to come to this Safeway post I noticed that it is missing from the “Deals by Store” sidebar. Pretty sure that was an accident? I know SW was always there on the old site design.
Yep, whoops! I’ll try to get it fixed tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!
Quick question, I know a lot of the participating deals w/ the P&G have ecoupons, do we have to have the $25 after ecoupons? Not sure exactly how it works w/ Safeways system. Hope that wasn’t confusing!
At safeway, I was doing a buy $25, get a $5 catalina on their baking products. An ecoupon lowered my total below $25 and I did not get my catalina. I’m not sure how it will play out with the P&G deal, but just be aware that it could happen!
I just did it and it was $25 before coupons! And, I did separate transactions so that I could do it twice and now will submit for spend $50 get $100 P&G coupons.
Darn! Ty so much for responding, sorry you had to find out the hard way
How do you get the free toothpaste?
I don’t see a coupon?
