Lots of in-ad coupons at Safeway this week! If you don’t get one in the Wednesday paper, you’ll need to pick one up in-store in order to use the coupons. They usually have a display of ads near where the shopping carts are kept. If they’re out, ask at customer service.
Keep in mind that Safeway’s in-ad coupons require a $20 minimum purchase, which is your total after all store discounts and in-ad coupons, but before manufacturer’s coupons. The price of the item after an in-ad coupon counts toward your minimum purchase – ie, the $1.49 you spend after the in-ad coupon for Lucerne butter counts toward your $20 minimum. Also know that you can use Safeway’s in-ad coupons in conjunction with manufacturer’s coupons!
And, Safeway continues to double coupons everywhere in Colorado, yahoo!

An OK price for granola bars, but not for fruit snacks. Both should go on sale for cheaper during back-to-school sales. Carrie, was there a recent change in Safeway’s coupon doubling? The last time I checked, the Falcon store did not double coupons….so I’ve just been going to the one on Powers and Constitution on my ‘town day’. Just wondering. (thanks!)
