Safeway’s sales cycles are all off because of the holidays – they put out a new ad today that runs through Saturday, January 3rd. Do they have any idea how much this throws off someone whose weeks run with the *normal* Wednesday through Tuesday grocery ads?! Here’s some good deals:
80% Lean Ground Beef $1.59/lb – I told you King Soopers had it on sale for a decent price, but that the quality of the meat could be questionable, at least according to our mothers. ;) And this week Safeway has their freshly ground beef for even cheaper than King Soopers so I’m stocking up. This is pretty much the lowest price you’ll see outside of a fabulous 4th of July sale or major markdown. 90% Lean Ground Beef is $1.99/lb, btw.
Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider $1.79 each – I’m thinking this is around $2.50 everywhere else, so a good price for your New Year’s celebrations.
Navel Oranges $.77/lb – Could go lower, but not significantly.
Jumbo Yellow Onions $.88/lb – Rock-bottom price for me.
Limes 5/$1 – Great price for a regular grocery store, depending on their size and quality you might be better of getting them at a Mexican market but unless that’s part of your weekly routine…
Avocadoes $1 – same price as King Soopers, and same theory as the limes
