Some nice deals at King Soopers this week…
• Boneless Center Cut Pork Loin Chops $2.99/lb – Not sure what a good sale price for this is, but it’s half-off their normal price which is what I shoot to pay for meat.
• Extra Large Raw Tiger Shrimp (sold in 2 lb bag) 50% off – The ad indicates it’s $6.49 after the 50% off discount so that would be $3.25/lb – a great price for shrimp!
• Chicken Drumsticks or Thighs 79 ¢/lb (sold in 4 lb package, frozen) – This is my target price for chicken thighs, but I’d rather wait until fresh chicken goes on sale for this price rather than buy frozen.
• 80% Lean Ground Beef $1.99/lb (sold in 1 or 3 lb roll) – Another target price, but I’d rather wait for fresh ground beef to go on sale for this price. It’s actually on sale at Safeway this week for the same price.
• General Mills Cereal $1.67 – This sale has been going on for a few weeks now. You can use printable coupons from Coupons.com (see the widget in my sidebar) or recent insert coupons that will double up to $1 to get these for $.67 each. Don’t forget to check for CellFire or ShortCuts coupons, too!
• King Soopers or Kroger Yogurt 3/$1 – An OK price, not one I’d stock up on by any means.
• Kraft Cheese (6-12 oz Selected Bars, Shreds, or Singles) $2 – This was cheaper a few weeks back, but is still not a shabby price for name brand cheese – I’d just wait for a better sale to really stock up.
• Thomas Bagels $1.99 – Great price for this brand of bagels!
• Ocean Spray Cocktail Juice $1.98 – If the light, diet, or grapefruit varities are included, you can use a $1/1 coupon to get for $.98.
• Progresso Light or Low Sodium Soup $1.50 – You can use a printable for $1.10/1 to get for $.40, or use 25 ¢/1 to get for $1.
• Yoplait Yogurt Multipacks $2 – Depending on what multipacks are included, you can use 50 ¢/2 coupons to get for $1.50 each or 50 ¢/1 or $1/1 to get for $1. Shortcuts or CellFire might also have ecoupons for additional savings.
• Gorton’s Fish Fillets or Sticks $3.99 – Another item I don’t regularly buy so I don’t 100% know what a great price is, but this is almost half-off King Sooper’s every day price so it’s *probably* a good deal.
• Organic Red Leaf, Green Leaf, or Romaine Lettuce $1 each – This is a rock-bottom price for ORGANIC lettuce. Man, if only you could freeze this. (Don’t try it.)
• Northwest Organic Green Pears $1/lb – Another great price for organic produce.
• Tide Laundry Detergent $5.99 – If you’re loyal to Tide, this is probably a great price when combined with a manufacturer’s coupon and potentially a P&G eSaver coupon.
Happy shopping this week!
