Some really great deals at King Soopers this week! An answer to my prayers since I’m on a tight budget this week.
- Dial Liquid Soap $.88 – Use $.35/1 to get this for $.18.
- General Mills Cereal $1.67 – Follow closely, and you’ll get some really cheap or even FREE CEREAL. Here are coupons you can print, or may have from newspaper inserts.
$.75/1 Frosted, Fruity, Apple Cinnamon, or Yogurt Burst Cheerios (printable)
- $.75/1 Chocolate, Honey Nut, Strawberry, or Cinnamon Chex (printable)
- $.75/1 MultiGrain Cheerios (printable)
- $.55/1 Honey Nut Cheerios (printable)
- $.55/1 Banana Nut Cheerios (printable)
- $.50/1 MultiGrain Cheerios (insert coupon)
I haven’t been to the store yet, so I don’t know for sure what General Mills cereals are included in this sale, but MultiGrain Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios are both pictured in the ad. All of the above coupons will double to $1, bringing your cost for a box of cereal down to $.67. Have you ever paid $.67 for name brand cereal before? (OK, some of you have, and even paid less! :)
Do you want free cereal? (Please make sure you understand the above paragraph before reading the next one, because if you don’t you’ll be REALLY confused!) Then, you need to go to Shortcuts or Cellfire and add some e-coupons to your Sooper Card.
Cellfire has e-coupons for $.75/1 Multigrain Cheerios and $.50/1 Honey Nut Cheerios. When included with the coupons I listed above, MultiGrain Cheerios would be FREE and Honey Nut Cheerios would be $.17. Shortcuts has an e-coupon for $.75/1 MultiGrain Cheerios. I’m not 100% sure that both $.75 MultiGrain Cheerios will come off on the same transaction, so your mileage may vary one that one – regardless, one of them should come off.
The great thing about this deal is even if you don’t have any coupons from the newspaper yet you can use the printables!
- Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts or Tenders $1.67/lb – I don’t think this is a good deal, because this is frozen meat (sold in a three pound bag) and the quality is not as good as fresh, IMHO. I’d pay $1.88 at Safeway this week and get better meat.
- English Cucumbers or Red, Yellow, Orange, or Green Bell Peppers $1 – A good price for everything except green bell peppers, they’ll go on sale for cheaper.
- Organic Braeburn and Fuji Apples $1/lb and Organic Bosc Pears $1.25/lb – Good price for organic.
- Hot, Lean, or Croissant Pockets or Subs $1.59 – A good price IF we get a coupon in next Sunday’s paper to bring it down a little further. I’d wait to buy until then.
- Totino’s Pizza Rolls $1.25 – Use $.35/1 to get these for $.55. You can also add a $.50/1 coupon from Shortcuts for even more savings.
- Yoplait Yogurt Multipacks $2 – Use $.50/1 Yoplait Kids or $1/1 Yo-Plus to get for $1. Additional savings with e-coupons at CellFire and Shortcuts.
- Breyer’s Ice Cream $1.25 – This has GOT to be a typo. That’s 48 oz of ice cream for $1.25. I’m going to the store prepared to stock up, or be disappointed when I see a sign saying it was a typo.
- Irish Spring Bar Soap 3-pack $1.50 – Use $.50/2 to get these for $1.00 each. Not sure how great of a price this is, I don’t usually buy this brand.
……………………………..
3 Day Sale – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ONLY
……………………………..
- Choice Boneless Half Ribeyes $4.99/lb – OK, so it’s a “half ribeye”, but $4.99/lb for boneless steak? I don’t care if it’s an eighth of a ribeye. (Bone-in steaks might be a little better, but then you have to pay for a bone you’re not going to eat – boneless gives you more for your money.)
- Colorado Proud Gallon Milk $1.77 – Limit four, because they know people will be stocking up!
And finally…

Buy 10, save $3 Instantly Savings Event
……………………………..
This runs all week (and my guess is that it will go through next week, too). Similar to the sale they ran the past two weeks, except this one is buy ten participating items, save three dollars instantly – a savings of $.30 per item. Keep in mind that some participating items are a good deal and some are not. Thirty cents off a six dollar item is not that great of a discount; thirty cents off a two dollar item is much better.
Keep your eyes peeled in the store for items marked as participating but aren’t advertised in the ad. Here’s what I think is a good deal from the ad (prices are AFTER the $3 discount for buying ten):
- Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.39 – Use $.50/2 to get these for $.89. There should be a catalina that prints out when you buy multiple boxes: Buy 3 get $1.50, buy 4 get $2.50, buy 5 or more and get $3.50. I only “buy” these things when they’re free because I can’t. stop. eating. them.
- Gatorade Sports Drink $.70 – Time to stock up on this again for my basketball-officiating husband.
- Purex Laundry Detergent $2.69 – I shoot to pay under three dollars for laundry detergent, so I’ll be buying some of this. I don’t see any coupons for this, but one could come out on Sunday.
- Dasani 24-pack Bottled Water $3.69 – Not sure what’s a good price for this; we don’t buy bottled water much.
That’s all I see for now, folks! Feel free to add your deals or ask questions in the comments. You can also checkout my post on the lowdown on shopping at King Soopers.
