Another good week of grocery shopping deals! I’ve just picked up a few things we needed and a couple of can’t-miss sale items and have been cooking from the freezer and pantry the past couple of weeks.
Here’s what I got at Safeway:
4 boxes Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats @ $2.50 each = $10.00
Minus in-ad store coupon = -$4.00
Minus two $1.50/2 manufacturer’s coupons = -$3.00
Total for four boxes of cereal = $3.00
3 Bayer aspirin @ $1.00 each = $3.00
Minus three $1 manufacturer’s coupons = -$3.00
Total for three packages of aspirin = NOTHING!
3 Starkist Tuna Pouches @ 1.33 = $4.00
Minus $1/2 store coupon = -$1.00
Minus Buy Two Get One Free manufacturer’s coupon = -$2.15
Total for three tuna pouches = $.85
Plus 22 ¢ in sales tax = $4.07! That’s a savings of 85% off Safeway’s regular prices – normally all that would have cost $27.38! (Yes, Safeway’s everyday prices are a little inflated!)
I spent $15.19 at Albertson’s and $8.97 at King Soopers and hopefully that will last us the rest of this week. Be sure to check out everyone else’s finds at Super Savings Saturday!
