Super Savings Saturday

Published February 6, 2009 by Carrie in Grocery Deals

king-soopers-deals-february-4

Some great deals at King Soopers this week – and I haven’t even hit the Nascar promotion (buy 10 items save $3 instantly) yet!  I highlighted some of the deals here, and wanted to show you what and got and how I did it.  You can see other people grocery shopping skills over at Super Savings Saturday!

Total for one 4-pack of Yoplait yogurt = $0.00 Nuthin’ better than free!

Jalapeno Peppers (.17 lb @ $2.49/lb) = $.42

Cilantro = $.50

Red Bell Pepper = $1.00

Mountain High Yogurt (2 cups) $.50 each = $1.00
Minus $.50 off two paper coupon (doubled to $1)

Total for two cups of Mountain High Yogurt = $0.00 Free!

King Soopers 100% Whole Wheat Bread = $1.27

Total for all of the above ($.07 tax) = $4.02!!!

Hmm, my math isn’t quite adding up and I can’t figure out where I went wrong!   But you get the idea, right?  I saved 81% off King Sooper’s regular prices, meaning if I hadn’t used coupons and purchased sale items, all that would have cost me $21.52. No thanks, I’ll wait for the good sales and use coupons!

Before you ask, no, this will not feed our family for a week (or even a day)! The budget’s tight this week so I’m planning to cook from my pantry and freeze with the great deals I’ve gotten previously.  I’m so grateful four dollars was able to go so far, and will probably make another trip later this week to get some essentials like milk and maybe some more cereal. :)
