Rancho Liborio is a relatively new grocery store on south Circle Drive. It’s actually part of a chain that has locations in California, Nevada, and Colorado. It’s really pretty fun to shop at, with bright colors and decorations and a full service meat and fish counter. My kiddos like to look at the pinatas!
At 65,000 square feet, it’s the largest store in the chain so far. I’ve been here a few times, and found their produce to be great quality and great prices. You probably won’t find Mexican food ingredients like avocadoes, limes, or cilantro cheaper anywhere else!
One of the best parts is that, unlike most ethnic markets, you can view their weekly ad online, so even if you don’t live close, you can find out what’s on sale and find out if it’s worth the drive. I look at their ad from time to time and they almost always have GREAT prices on meat and produce. This week, you could get 10 lbs of potatoes for $1.97, broccoli for 67 ¢/lb, cilantro for a quarter… Yeah, some really nice deals on fresh veggies!
Their meat prices are usually good, too – there’s just a lot of cuts that I don’t recognize!
One caution – once you venture outside of the produce, bulk spices, and meats, everything else is pretty pricey. I’d stick to other stores for pantry supplies, but for fresh meat and produce they’re great! Rancho Liborio is located at 1660 South Circle Drive.
BTW, thanks to Angelia for reminding me about this store. She emailed me about it a long time ago and I’m just now getting around to reviewing it! Better late than never, right?
