Midweek grocery sales update

There was a midweek ad for Safeway in the Gazette this morning with some prices nice store coupons that are good through the 12th!   Check the original Safeway deals post for the week for other great deals.   And, here’s a link to today’s ad on the Safeway website.

Starbucks Coffee $4.99 (in-ad coupon) – This is a great deal, and it could be even sweeter: I bought one package this morning and got a coupon for $1.50 off my next order! Let me know if you do this and it works for you too.
Safeway Refresh Bottled Water $2.88 (in-ad coupon) – Good price for bottled water, I think.
Best Foods or Hellman’s Mayo $2 (in-ad coupon) – Good price, though we can probably get it cheaper during the summer months.
Nature Valley Granola Bars $2.99 (in-ad coupon, value pack) – This could be an OK deal if you use one of the Nature Valley coupons from the Coupons.com widget below. I won’t pay more than 75 ¢ for a regular sized box of granola bars, so this probably works out to about the same since it’s a bigger box.
Safeway Hickory Smoked Sliced bacon (in-ad coupon, value pack) $4.99 – Love me some bacon, and at $1.66/lb I love it even more!
Strawberries 4 lb for $4.88 – $1.22/lb is a great price for me.C&H Sugar (5 lb) $1.89 – Use 35 ¢/1 coupon to get for $1.19.
Duncan Hines Brownies $1 – This is a great price IF you have a coupon. I think I used mine, but if you have one I’d get some brownies this week! (I try not to pay more than 50 ¢ for brownies.)
Gatorade Tiger 79 ¢ – Good price.

Kroger Flour $1.49 – I stock up on this during Christmas at $1 for 5 lbs, but this might be a decent deal. Anyone know what WalMart’s flour prices are at these days?
Green Beans or Broccoli Crowns 99 ¢/lb – My rock-bottom price for both of these.
C&H Brown or Powdered Sugar $2.50 – It’s cheaper ($1.89 before coupon) at Safeway by a ways, but this is probably an OK deal if you use a 35 ¢ coupon to get it for $1.80 after doubling.
Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese 99 ¢ – A good price, I can’t recall a better price in the past 9 months or so.
Dole Canned Pineapple (other Dole canned fruit included, too) $1 – Use 75 ¢/2 to get for 50 ¢ each when you buy two after doubling. Missed this deal the first time around, thanks to whoever pointed it out to me!

And at Albertsons, use the 75 ¢ Breyer’s Ice Cream coupon that came in the paper today to get it for $1.22… Yippee!

And finally, don’t forget about the hot Safeway deal good on Tuesday only: buy a Signature Cafe Whole Roasted Chicken for $5 and use the $1 coupon from Safeway.com and get it for $4!
