FREE movies this summer!

I told you earlier this week about the cheap movies this summer, but here’s one that’s even better – if you live near Castle Rock, you can watch movies for free this summer at the Castle Rock Stadium Theatres! They’re showing free movies at 10 AM on Wednesdays and Thursdays – first-come, first serve. Here’s the lineup:

June 24-25 Igor
July 1-2 Madagascar 2
July 8-9 Kung Fu Panda
July 15-16 Mall Cop
July 22-23 The Tale of Despereaux
July 29-30 Hotel for Dogs
August 5-6 Coraline

Free outoor concerts this summer at First and Main

Ah, I don’t know about you, but I’m getting really excited about summer! So many things to do and see – not sure if we’ll get to do them all, but sometimes it’s fun to just think about doing them all.

Here’s another summertime freebie: the First and Main Shopping Center at Powers and N/S Carefree is putting on a free summer concert series on Fridays from June 5th through August 7th. The concerts will be held from 5 to 7 PM in front of the theatre. Here’s the lineup:

June 5: Summer Spectacular 3-5pm, concert – Under A Blood Red Sky, (U2 Cover Band)
June 12: Orquesta Sabroso (Latin/Salsa music)
June 19: Latigo- Formerly Rockin Horse (Country Music)

Don’t forget to stop by WalMart from 11 AM to 4 PM to get a free serving of a Dibs Snack Bag, Blue Bunny Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Bar, or a Ben and Jerry’s Flipped Out Cup. Another Old Navy weekend doorbuster

Old Navy really, really wants to get you into their store! Last weekend they had their $1 flip flop sale, and this weekend it’s adult graphic t-shirts for just three bucks (Saturday, 5/30 only)! I learned from last week’s sale that if you’re not there when the doors open, don’t bother going. Get their early and be prepared to (nicely) fight the crowds! There’s a limit of 5 per customer. An awesome Eagle Scout project!

Kudos to 16-year-old Michael Ellsworth – as part of a project for Eagle Scouts, he’s organized a giveaway of kids’ bikes this Saturday! He’ll be giving them away from 9 AM until noon at the Discovery Canyon Campus off Northgate.
