It's farmer's market season again!

June is the time that farmer’s markets start to heat up in Colorado Springs, and this weekend is the opening weekend for the one in Old Colorado City!   A lot of people consider it to be the best one in town – would you agree, or do you have another favorite?   It runs every Saturday through October from 7 AM to 1 PM.

Here’s a couple of other area farmer’s markets:

• Briargate Farmer’s Market – opens Saturday, June 13th at the shopping center on the corner of Briargate and Chapel Hills (in front of Salsa Brava).   From 8 AM to noon every Saturday.
• Colorado Farm and Art Market – opens Wednesday, June 10th at America The Beautiful Park from 3 PM to 7 PM, continuing each week through October 7th.   The Saturday market begins on June 13th at the Margarita at Pine Creek and runs from 9 AM to 1 PM through October 10th.

I know there are several more farmer’s markets in town – particularly one in Memorial Park, I believe – but I can’t find websites for them. I tried going to one last year that was *ahem* listed on a farmer’s market directory but was more than a little bummed when there was no farmer’s market to be found at that location.
