Update: Valerie said they told her they were out of the coupons, so this may become your mileage may vary.
I went to Albertsons this morning and left my ad with the coupons in the car. I *almost* went back out to get it, but decided to just go to customer service and ask for one – and when they gave me the ad, they also gave me a paper with some other great coupons on it!
The best one was for fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.29/lb – that is such an amazing price I can’t even tell you how good it is. I got several packages as you can see below. They also had a coupon for the bottled water for $1.99 instead of $2.50 like the in-ad coupon was for.
And, on that same sheet of coupons there were coupons for $5 off your $50 purchase or $10 off your $100 purchase! Albertsons only deducts these coupons AFTER manufacturer’s coupons, so I rarely use them. But, I got a bunch of chicken AND some other markdown meat (along with the other items), so my total was actually $50 after coupons and I was able to use the $5 coupon!
I’m seriously thanking God for the deals I found there today, because my pantry and freezer are near empty and it costs a lot of money to fill it back up, even with shopping sale prices! I was able to get the two chickens for 49 ¢/lb, and the ground beef was $1.49/lb (will probably go lower, but we eat a lot of ground beef).
Anyway, so here’s what I got for $55.84:
That’s 38 pounds of meat! I forgot to put the two loaves of Orowheat bread that I got in the picture, so my money got me even more than that! I’ll still be heading to Safeway to stock up on a few things, and probably King Soopers to pick up a couple of produce items, so I’m not done for the week – but I’m pumped I was able to get a good start on restocking my pantry at Albie’s today!
