It’s been awhile since I’ve mentioned Caregiver’s Marketplace, but they offer a rebate program for products that people who are caring for children or the elderly regularly buy. It’s great if you have a kid (or kids, like me!) in diapers, because you can earn a 75 ¢ rebate per package of Huggies diapers.
Seventy-five cents doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you send in a rebate for 5 or more packages of diapers, it adds up! However, Huggies has changed some of their diaper styles and counts and it appears that, at least for right now, Caregivers Marketplace isn’t accepting rebates for those new packages. Here’s an excerpt from an experience that one of Mercedes’ readers had:
Caregivers Marketplace is NOT at this time reimbursing for the new pack sizes for Huggies. They recently changed, for example size 3 went from 40 to 36 in the pack. This was my first experience with Caregivers Marketplace and I am EXTREMELY disappointed. I submitted for a $16.50 rebate and only got back $5.25! I called and found out the pack size change is the reason – because the counts that are listed on the rebate form are different now from what is available in stores and what I bought. The customer service rep explained to me that they’re working to try to resolve the problem but at this time there is nothing she could do for me and that they would not go back and reimburse me even after it gets worked out.
After there was some discussion on Mercedes’ site, a representative from Caregiver’s Marketplace did leave a comment and indicate they were trying to work on a solution fo the problem. However, at this point, I would advise holding those receipts for the new Huggies styles and hope that they will adjust the rebate form to allow for those to be submitted for cash back as well.
Just wanted to give you a heads up!
