King Soopers weekly deals: September 2-8

Published September 2, 2009 by Carrie in Grocery Deals

CM Capture 2

Wow, there’s a lot going on at King Soopers this week!

Meat, Dairy, and Frozen:

  • Bone-In Ribeye Steak $4.99/lb
  • Pork Spare Ribs 99 ¢/lb
  • King Soopers Brats $1.49/lb
  • Fresh Coho Salmon Fillet (wild ) $6.99/lb – Pretty good price for wild, farm-raised goes cheaper.
  • Oscar Mayer Meat Weiners $1.50 – Use $1/2 to get for $1 each (printable at Smartsource.com) – just an OK price, but probably the last hotdog sale of the summer.
  • 8 Piece Fried Chicken $4.99
  • Oscar Mayer Basic Lunchables $1
  • Colorado Proud milk $1.68 (gallon)
  • Challenge Butter (1 lb) $1.99 (unadvertised) – There are 75 ¢/1 blinkies (won’t double) that are right in front of the butter, likely at most stores.   That brings the cost to $1.24 for a pound of premium butter!   I also had some 50 ¢/1 coupons from inside packages I’d bought in the past that brought it down to 99 ¢ for a pound.
  • Kroger Cheese (6-8 oz) $1.25 – About $2.50/lb; not a good price unless you need it.
  • King Soopers/Kroger Sour Cream or Dips $1 – Comes around all the time.
  • Dannon Yogurt $1.88 – Use $1/1 to get for 88 ¢.   It includes the 32 oz size, which there are also $1 coupons for!
  • Turkey Hill Iced Tea (half gallon) $1 (unadvertised) – Use $1/2 to get for 50 ¢ each!   I think home-brewed iced tea is probably still much cheaper, but I got pomegranate lemonade, which was included in the sale.
  • Simple Potatoes 99 ¢ (20 oz)
  • Tony’s Pizzas $2 (15-17 oz) – Use 50 ¢/1 to get for $1!
  • Marie Callendar’s Pies BOGO Free
  • Breyer’s Ice Cream or Klondike Novelties $2.27 – Use $1/2 (previously available from Coupons.com) to get for $1.74 each.

Produce:

  • Avocados $1 – They’re 33 ¢ at Sunflower Market this week.
  • English Cucumbers $1
  • Red, Orange, or Yellow Bell Peppers $1
  • Gala Apples 99 ¢/lb
  • Black Seedless Grapes 99 ¢/lb
  • Rocky Ford Canteloupe 33 ¢/lb
  • Honeydews 50 ¢/lb

General Grocery and Household:

  • Yakisoba Ramen Noodle Bowls $1 (unadvertised) – Use 50 ¢/1 to get them FREE!
  • Boulder Canyon Chips $1 – Good price; occasionally there are printables out for $1/2 but I don’t think there currently are.
  • Pepperidge Farm Goldfish $1 – I believe these are 8 oz packages, which makes them 12.5 ¢ per oz.   They are 11.9 ¢ per oz at Sam’s for the BIG box.   I’d probably prefer to pay a little more and buy the smaller packages so they stay fresh (and you can have your choice of flavors).
  • Frito Lay Snacks $1 – These are single-serving packages; not a good deal.
  • Fritos or Frito Lay Canned Dips (9-11.1 oz) $1.57
  • Sunchips $2.48 – I didn’t think this was that great of a deal, but there are $1/1 coupons at some stores, bringing it down to $1.48 per bag.
  • Hunt’s Ketchup $1 – Good price, and there was a coupon for Hunt’s in the Sept issue of AllYou magazine.
  • Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce $1
  • Weber Grill Creations $1 – These were free with coupon earlier this summer… Hopefully you stocked up then!
  • Santa Cruz Organic Lemonade (32 oz) $1
  • Kellogg’s Cereal $3 plus get a free gallon of milk when you buy 3 – These are family size boxes, but I think I’d wait for a better deal.   The best you could get on these is $2.00 (use $2/2 coupon) and then a free gallon of milk, but you can get the smaller boxes for 50 ¢-$1, so still a lower cost per ounce with the smaller boxes, and cereal sales and coupons come around frequently.
  • Keebler Cookies $1.77 plus get a free gallon of milk when you buy 3 – You can mix and match this with the Kellogg’s cereal deal above.   There are coupons (non-insert) for $1/2 Keebler, which makes it a decent deal.
  • Pepsi, Coke, or 7Up 12-packs $2.40 each when you buy 5 – Cheaper at Albies this week, not a stock up price here.
  • Duncan Hines Brownies $1 – Will go cheaper.
  • Hefty Storage Bags $1 – Use $1/2 to get for 50 ¢, stock up!
  • Kingsford Charcoal $5.99 – Probably the last time it will go on sale this summer.
  • Brut Deodorant $1 – Use 55 ¢/1 from All You magazine to get it FREE!
  • Softsoap or Dial $1 – Wait for a coupon to get it cheaper.
  • Reach/Johnson&Johnson Dental Floss $1 – There are 50 ¢/1 coupons and $3/3 coupons which make it FREE!
  • Personal Fan $5 – These were on clearance at 75% off.   I found them on an endcap near the hair care products at the Stetson Hills location.   There were about 5-6 left.   They’re similar to this one.
  • Kroger Comforts diapers $5.99 – These are still on sale, and you can use the $3/1 that were available from KingSoopers.com to get a package of diapers for $2.99. (The coupons don’t appear to be available anymore)
  • Purex Laundry Detergent $2.50 – Use 35 ¢/1 to get for $1.80, stock up!
  • Bounty Single Rolls 99 ¢ – Use 25 ¢/1 to get for 49 ¢, an OK price.
