I’m testing out a new “deal rating system” on the weekly grocery deals starting today! My hope is that it will give you a better sense of what’s a good deal and what’s not – and just how good of a deal it is. Here’s the scale:
1 = Not even sale price, don’t touch it
2 = Buy it if you need it
3 = Decent price, comes around at least fairly often
4 = Great price, buy enough to last awhile
5 = Stock up big time!
I plan to continue the weekly grocery posts that same as usual – highlighting just the good deals and making sure you know when something’s not a good deal even when the store tried their best to make you think it is! I’ll give each item a rating and then add notes if necessary.
Of course, I’m taking for granted that you understand that a rating of FIVE for lettuce means it’s a really really great price, but that I don’t mean to try stocking your freezer with fresh lettuce! And the same goes with meat, of course, unless you like to buy it and freeze it for later.
So, I’d love to hear your feedback! Feel free to leave comments on any of the weekly deals posts and let me know what you think. It’s in beta right now, so I’ll see what works and what doesn’t and then go from there.
