Here you go – another Restaurant.com coupon code! Use code TREATS through 10/31/2009 and get a $25 gift certificate for just $2.
So, what’s the big deal about Restaurant.com? I thought I’d give you a little scenario to show you how it works:
Here’s how I’d work a $25 Restaurant.com gift certficate to Ted’s Montana Grill. The fine print for this particular restaurant reads “Must spend $50 in food including two entrees. Excludes alcohol. Must present prior to use. 1 per table. For dine-in and take-away orders.”
We usually forgo appetizers in favor of a salad, so we’ll split the Signature Salad for $13. Jeremy would probably order the 12 oz Prime Rib at $20 (served with vegetable and potato), and I’m thinking the Cedar Plank Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans sounds tasty for $18.
That brings our total to $51! We’ll tip on the pre-coupon amount, so at 20% that would be a $10 tip, which takes our total to $61. Then take the $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate off, and we’re down to $36 (plus a few bucks in cash, which I am too lazy to figure out for you). We’ll need to factor in the cost of the Restaurant.com gift certificate, too, which in this case was $3.
Now, $39 is not exactly eating for free, but considering we had salmon and prime rib and a salad for that price (and left a good tip), I’d say it’s a pretty nice deal!
Just remember to bring your own straw if you eat at Ted’s.
