Well, I have no clue what to tell you about Albertsons and doubling this week. They ran an ad in Sunday’s Gazette advertising double coupons, but I don’t know if they were doing it all week long or just since Sunday. And I don’t know if it will continue this week or stop and then start again on Sunday or stop and then not start at all!
Not a ton of deals to be had that require double coupons to make it a great deal, though. I’m totally stocking up on brownie mix – bought a few extra papers last week so I can stock up a 50¢ each!
All military personnel receive 10% discount this week (through 11/17). Make sure you show your ID and ask for your discount! Anyone can also save 10% on Sundays if you wear your favorite football team’s jersey (mixed results on your experiences with that promo).
The 10% discount is taken after all the sale discounts and coupons. Here we go with the deals!
Meat, Dairy, and Frozen
Honeysuckle White Premium Turkey (Grade A, frozen) 35¢/lb, limit 1 with $25 purchase
Use $1/1 printable coupon [smartsource.com] (no longer available)
Net cost at checkout: varies based on weight
Rating: probably a 5 – I kind of doubt we’ll see a lower price per pound, especially not for this brand and with a coupon. Keep in mind it requires a $25 purchase, and get there early – last year they ran a similar special and sold out quickly. They may substitute a different brand as they did last year when they ran out, but if you have a coupon for Honeysuckle that won’t help you much, will it?
USDA Choice Bottom Round Roast $1.88/lb
Rating: 4
93% Lean Ground Beef (5 lbs+) $1.67/lb
Rating: 5
Breyer’s Ice Cream (1.5 qt) $1.99, limit 2
Use 75¢/1 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: $1.24 (99¢ if doubling)
Rating: 5
Produce
Cuties Clementine Tangerines (3 lb bag) $2.99
Rating: 3.5 – it’s “clementine season” so we’ll be seeing this price frequently for several months.
General Grocery and Household
Fritos or Cheetos $1.37, limit 2
Rating: 4
Pillsbury Brownie Classics $1
Use $1/2 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: $1 for 2 (50¢ each)
Rating: 5
General Mills Chex Cereal (12.8-14 oz) $1.50 when you buy 3, limit 1 reward per transaction
Use one $1/2 insert or printable from [coupons.com] or [smartsource.com]
Net cost at checkout: $3.50 for three ($1.17 each)
Rating: 3 – a decent price for Chex, but it’s a bummer you have to buy three at a time instead of two or four since the coupons are for $1 off two. :(
Honey Bunches of Oats (13-14.5 oz) $1.50 when you buy 4, limit 1 reward per transaction
Use four $1/1 printables (Pecan variety only, and you can only print two per computer)
Net cost at checkout: $2 for four (50¢ each) if you have access to more than computer to print, or $4 for four if you can only print two coupons
Rating: 4-4.5, especially if you’re brand-loyal to Honey Bunches of Oats
