Shop at Safeway, get a $10 reward

Here’s what I think could be an awesome promotion at Safeway this December, depending on what sales we get!  From December 2 through 31st, spend $250 at Safeway and earn a $10 reward.  The wording is a little unclear, but it seems that the $250 is cumulative, and doesn’t have to be spend in one transaction.

Here’s the fine print:

$10 Reward: The $10 Savings Award excludes purchases of alcohol, tobacco, fluid dairy products (CA and NV only), U.S. postage stamps, fuel purchases, lottery tickets, gift cards, gift certificate purchases, commuter passes, money orders, CRV (California Redemption Value) all Pharmacy Prescription purchases, Safeway Club Card Savings Store Coupons and sales tax. One Savings Award redeemable per household. Thru 12/31/09. Coupons must be presented with Safeway Club Card. No refunds with purchases of less than $10 with Savings Award.

I don’t usually spend $250 out-of-pocket at Safeway, but you’ll notice your $250 total is after Safeway store coupons and club card discounts. So, your total can be $250 after store coupons and discounts but before manufacturer’s coupons, which means you could spend less than $250 out-of-pocket and still earn a $10 reward.
