Dillard’s is having their traditional big clearance sale on New Year’s Day – 50% off all previously reduced merchandise! I called the locations at both the Citadel Mall and Chapel Hills Mall to confirm that they are doing this sale. The Chapel Hills Mall location also said they’ll have markdowns of 70-75% off original prices in the housewares department.

Today I bought 8 pairs of shoes
You guys. I have never bought eight pairs of shoes all at once in my life. In fact, I’m guessing I’ve probably never bought that many over a year. Or two years. Or maybe even three years. But today, I went to Shoe Carnival’s store closing sale and bought eight, and paid…
$57.14
That’s an average of $7.14 per pair. I was totally surprised at how much stock they had left – and it wasn’t all in super tiny sizes and super huge sizes, either. I wear a 7.5-8 and had no trouble finding the size I needed in the shoes I wanted.
The Shoe Carnival employee that checked me out said their final day is January 17th, and while he didn’t know when they would take further markdowns (currently everything is 40% off the lowest marked price), he thought that based on how much they had left they would be marking it down even more at some point.
A seriously big thanks to Melissa for the original tip. This post is linked to Super Savings Saturday – check out others big money saving adventures and get inspired!
$10 off haircut at Ulta
Print this coupon and take it to the Ulta Beauty store at the Shops at Briargate to save $10 off a haircut! I have no clue how much haircuts run – if you do, please share!
Note that the coupon states that it’s for first time salon customers only, is only valid for select designers, and some locations are excluded. You may want to call ahead to make sure our local Ulta store will accept it.
Thanks, Bargain Briana!
Earth’s Best diapers for $3.50 at Toys R Us
Money Saving Mom has the scoop on how to get Earth’s Best diapers for $3.50 per package from January 1st – 3rd at Babies R Us and Toys R Us. Note that a few readers have reported that our local Babies R Us is hesitant to accept printable coupons, so keep that in mind.
By the way, I have contacted Toys R Us and Babies R Us about their official coupon policy, but haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ll let you know when I do!
Save $1-4 at Boston Market
Here’s a page of coupons for Boston Market, from $1 off one meal to $4 off a $20 purchase. Not sure if you’ll be able to use this with their weekend kids eat free offer, but I’d print them off and keep them handy if you eat there regularly!

Proctor and Gamble Sale: spend $40 on P&G products save $10 instantly, limit one reward per transaction.
Rating varies depending on what you buy and what coupons you have. Remember that the $10 of $40 is the equivalent of a 25% savings, plus any coupons you may have. I’m thinking there may be some great deals, particularly if you are brand-loyal to P&G products.
I can’t say for sure whether or note Albertsons is doubling coupons this week – if they are, that makes the P&G sale much better! If you find out for sure, let us know by leaving a comment!
