Have you heard of House Party yet? It’s been around for awhile, but is still relatively new to many people. Major companies like DiGiorno, Domino’s, Boca, and Huggies hire the House Party company to coordinate in-home parties to spread the word about their new product. Don’t think “jewelry party” or “kitchenware sale” – think “having friends over and someone else pays for the food or party favors in exchange for your word-of-mouth publicity!”
The companies do it because it’s a great way to advertise their product. Their hope is that you try their product and love it so much that you tell your friends and family how great it is. It’s fun for the host and guest because you get to try new products for basically nothing! (They send a party pack with most of the supplies needed for your party. Sometimes it’s full-value coupons to purchase the product they’re promoting, sometimes it’s a gift card, etc.)
I’ve hosted one House Party for Domino’s and am hosting another one for DiGiorno soon. (See any sort of a theme arising? :)) You can apply to host a party here – there’s a list of upcoming parties that still have open applications! Anyone can apply to be a host. Here’s more info about how it works from their website.
Anyone else hosting an upcoming House Party?
