Reader Chris sent me this photo of Extreme Bargains at 3190 North Stone and asked me if I’d ever been. I haven’t been to this location yet, though it’s on my list. I did review the Extreme Bargains store on Platte but it seems that since I visited that store it’s changed and now focuses more on office supplies?
Anyway, Chris said that he got Bare Naked Granola (normally $6.99) for $1.99 and a bunch of power bars for 25¢ each at the Extreme Bargains store on Platte. Sounds like they may have some really great deals if you’re OK with buying “scratch and dent” or foods that are about to expire (not all foods are that way, but often many are).
My best word of advice about shopping at scratch and dent places is to know your prices before you go. There are many good deals to be found, but also many that are higher than the sale prices we regularly get, so make sure you have a good grasp on what is really a good price before you go.
Have you been to the Extreme Bargains store on Stone? What kind of deals did you find?
