New week, new deals at Sunflower Market!
Double Ad Wednesday Deals – Good through 1/13 Only
Texas Rio Red Grapefruit 17¢ each
Rating: 5
Red or Green Leaf Lettuce $1
Rating: 4 – it’s been forever since we’ve had a sale on this!
Kiwi Fruit 19¢ each
Rating: 4
Mild Yellow Onions 34¢/lb
Rating: 3.5
Green Cabbage 34¢/lb
Rating: 3.5
Collard, Turnip, Mustard, and Kale Greens $1/bunch (?)
Rating: 3 – they’ll go cheaper, but it does seem like it’s been awhile.
Brown Cow Natural Yogurt (6 oz) 50¢
Use 50¢/3 printable (registration required)
Net cost at checkout: 33¢ each
Rating: 5 for this brand! If you’re not brand-loyal, others may go cheaper
Stacy’s Pita Chips (8 oz) $1.99
Use $1/1 printable
Net cost at checkout: 99¢
Rating: 5
Lundberg Rice Cakes (8-10 oz) $1.25
Use $1/1 coupon found in the Optimum Wellness booklets at King Soopers
Net cost at checkout: 25¢
Rating: 5 – pipe in if you think this is a good deal even without a coupon, I have no idea!
ORGANIC Couscous $1.99
Rating: 4-5 – this doesn’t go on sale often, so I’m going to say it’s a good deal just because it’s on sale. Not a product we typically get for free!
Grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese $4.99/lb
Rating – Sam’s is often the cheapest place to buy this, but they don’t list their prices online. Any idea if this is a good deal compared to Sam’s?
Quick or Rolled Oats 59¢/lb
Rating: 5 – cheaper than Sam’s Club, about as low as they go!
Deals Good All Week Long
Navel Oranges 29¢/lb
Rating: 5
Large Sno White Cauliflower 99¢ each
Rating: depends on the size, I’d rate it a 3 if they’re a pound each.
Napa Cabbage 39¢/lb
Rating: 5 – this may even be cheaper than an Asian foods store!
Bartlett, Bosc, Anjou, and Red Pears 88¢/lb
Rating: 4
Braeburn or Jonagold Apples 88¢/lb
Rating: 3-4
Romaine or Iceberg Lettuce 88¢ each
Rating: 4-5 for Romaine, probably a 3 for Iceberg. We’ll see lower prices as summer nears, but these are good prices for right now.
Bunch Broccoli 69¢/lb
Rating: 4 – this is a great price per pound, however, I’ve noticed at both Sunflower and Albies lately that their bunches contain an awful lot of stalk (thus the low price per pound). So, just keep this in mind. I’d pay more for broccoli crowns because there’s not as much waste
Roma Tomatoes 69¢/lb
Rating: 4
Italian, Yellow, or Mexican Grey Squash 88¢/lb
Rating: 4
Large Eggplant 88¢ each
Rating: 5
Jicama 88¢/lb
Rating: 3 – goes much lower at Rancho Liborio quite regularly if you shop there.
ORGANIC Red or Green Leaf Lettuce $1.50
Rating: 4
Red, Yellow, and Orange Bell Peppers $1 each
Rating: 3-4 – this sale comes around fairly frequently, but we haven’t seen it a lot lately.
Ground Chicken Breast $1.97/lb
Rating: 5? I don’t think this ever goes on sale!
Ground Turkey Breast $1.97/lb
Rating: 4 – great price, but goes on sale for this price relatively regularly at Sunflower lately (ie, I wouldn’t buy a year’s supply! ;))
93% Lean Ground Beef $1.97/lb
Rating: 3
Dried Cranberries $2.99/lb
Rating: 4 – slightly cheaper, about $2.52/lb at Sam’s (for Craisins).
Kettle Baked Potato Chips (4 oz) $1.79
Use $1/1 insert coupon or printable
Net cost at checkout: 79¢
Rating: 5
Will you be heading to Sunflower Market this week? I sure need to – Jeremy just said “Um, when are you going to the grocery store? You haven’t been in forever and it’s really weird!” :)
