Just a quick update on the Mission Foods factory tour: first, the date has been changed to Wednesday, April 21st, at 10 AM since we realized the plant is not fully operational on Fridays! :) Figured you would want to see a plant that’s actually making tortillas.
And, the signup for the tour will go up at 2 PM today – you absolutely must sign up to reserve your spot. We are limited to 40 total people, so I would encourage you to come back to Springs Bargains at 2 PM today to sign up ASAP just in case it fills up quickly.
A couple of answers to other questions: we must maintain a small child-to-adult ratio for safety reasons. Please maintain a ratio of no more than two children under 12 per adult, and three children ages 12-15 per adult.
The tour will last about 1 hour, and the factory is located in Pueblo. Jewelry and open-toed shoes are not allowed, and the factory will provide hairnets and ear plugs which must be worn. The tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
I’m so excited! Thanks so much to Mission Foods for allowing us to tour their facility.
Come back at 2 PM for the signup form!
