New feature: “like” on Facebook

See something different at the top of each post today?  Last week Facebook announced it was taking the popular Like button anywhere on the internet, and yep, that include Springs Bargains!  You can now Like any post on this site, and it will be published to your Facebook profile.  A super easy way to show your friends what you’re reading and enjoying anywhere, not just on Facebook anymore!

Here’s how it works:

Click the Like button (well, the one at the top of every post – the one right above is an image), and if you’re logged into Facebook, you’ll see this appear:

(If you’re not logged in, Facebook will prompt you to login on the Facebook.com site before you like something on Springs Bargains.  Any logging in and sharing of information will take place on Facebook.com, I will never ask for your Facebook info.)

And on Facebook, you and your friends will see this:

Cool, huh?  Hope you like being able to share your favorite posts with a single click of a button!  You can still share via the Facebook button at the bottom of every post, it just takes a few extra clicks.  “Liking” is easy, a single click and you’ve showed all your friends what you’re reading!

Also, I made a few changes to the sidebar on the right – you’ll now see a tabbed widget with tabs for recent comments, search, popular posts, and the [swagbucks] Swidget.  I hope you’ll find it an easy way to see all the information with a little less clutter.

For those of you that are huge fans of the [swagbucks] Swidget, I promise I’ll keep it there from now on.  It’s been around off and on, but I wanted to be able to integrate it in a cleaner way, and I hope you’ll find it just as convenient with a litle cleaner look.
