Rancho Liborio: pasta for $0.50/lb

Published April 14, 2010 by Carrie in Grocery Deals

Here’s the new Rancho Liborio deals that start today!  I’m liking the 2 lb bags of pasta for $1 – definitely a stock-up price unless you are brand loyal.

Wednesday Only Produce Specials

Jalapeno Peppers – $0.49/lb
Rating: 5

Strawberries (1 lb) – $0.99
Rating: 5

Grapefruit – $0.33 each
Rating: 4-5? Kind of depends on how big they are.

Green Cabbage – $0.33/lb
Rating: 4

Cilantro – $0.14 each
Rating: 5

Thursday Only Meat Specials

Imitation Crab Meat $1.27/lb
Rating: 3

There’s other Thursday Meat Specials on tripe, pork feet, tongue, and cooked ham if those are cuts that are on your menu!

Deals Good All Week Long (April 14-20)

Romaine Lettuce – $0.49 each
Rating: 5

Cantaloupe – $0.49/lb
Rating: 3

Mexican Squash – $0.49/lb
Rating: 4

Tomatillos – $0.49/lb
Rating: 4

Garbanzo Beans – $1.57/lb
Rating: ? I’ve never seen these on sale before… The picture in the ad almost looks like they’re fresh; wonder what you do with them fresh?

Avocados – $0.32 each
Rating: 4

Bananas – $0.49/lb
Rating: 3

Bone-In Beef Chuck Steak – $1.77/lb
Rating: 2-3 – I’m seeing this being as low as $1.47 before.

Whole Pork Leg – $0.97/lb
Rating: 4

Red Snapper Fillet – $2.77/lb
Rating: 4-5

Cornish Game Hens – $1.47/lb
Rating: 3? These don’t go on sale often, but have been as low as about $1/lb before.

Blue Ribbon Rice (20 lb) – $7.97
Rating: 4 – just a bit more than Sam’s, fyi: $0.40/lb here versus $0.32/lb there.

Powerade Sports Drink (32 oz) – $0.77
Rating: 3

Cotija, Grated Cotija, or Oaxaca Cheese – $3.27/lb
Rating: not sure, but this is probably the cheapest place to buy these types of cheeses.

Queso Fresco – $2.97/lb
Rating: 4

Cajeme Mesquite Charcoal (7 lb) – $2.97
Rating: 3? Need to brush up on charcoal prices – this is probably an OK deal, but it’s slightly cheaper at Sam’s Club if you buy 40 lbs total.

Pagasa Pasta (2 lb) – $0.97 each
Rating: 5, great price per pound and cheaper than Sam’s price of $0.87/lb for macaroni. Looks like shells and macaroni are pictured in Liborio’s ad.
