Rancho Liborio: pears for $0.67/lb, plus more

Published April 21, 2010 by Carrie in Grocery Deals

Lots of good items that “go together” at Rancho Liborio this week… I’m seeing good deals on cilantro, avocados, and limes and thinking guacamole – and jalapenos are always cheap here, too!

Wednesday Only Produce Specials

Key Limes – $0.49/lb
Rating: 4

Papayas – $0.49/lb
Rating: 5

Pasilla Peppers – $0.67/lb
Rating: 5 – I make an adapted version of this recipe with this type of pepper.

Potatoes (10 lb) – $0.87
Rating: 5

Mexican Squash – $0.49/lb
Rating: 5

Pinto Beans – $0.49/lb
Rating: 3-5 – a great price per pound, however, they run this sale quite often so if you shop here regularly, I would just buy enough for a few weeks.

Thursday Only Meat Specials

Bone-In Chuck Steak – $1.27/lb
Rating:

Bone-In Beef Meat Chunks for Soups – $1.77/lb
Rating: ?

Smoked Pork Loin Chops – $2.27/lb
Rating: no idea, but they sure sound good!

Marinated Chicken Fajitas – $0.97/lb
Rating: 5

Deals Good All Week Long (April 21-27)

Beef For Shredded Meat – $2.97/lb
Rating: 3

Boneless, Skinless Chicken Leg Meat (Family Pack) – $0.97/lb
Rating: 5

Pork Picnic Roast – $0.97/lb
Rating: 4 – great deal, but we see prices about 10¢/lb lower here and at Albies (maybe Safeway, too).

Liborio Eggs – $0.97
Rating: 3-4

Roma Tomatoes – $0.67/lb
Rating: 4

D’Anjou Pears – $0.67/lb
Rating: 5

Gala Apples – $0.77/lb
Rating: 5

Cilantro – $0.14 each
Rating: 5

Radishes – $0.24
Rating: 5

Avocados – $0.32 each
Rating: 4-5

Green Onions – $0.24 each
Rating: 5

Brown Sugar Cones – $0.99/lb
Rating: ? – this is what they are, maybe a good option for those of you who want to stay away from refined sugars? No idea, really. :)

Powerade (32 oz) – $0.77
Rating: 3 – though, considering you can buy just one for this price instead of 10 or 15, you might rate it a little higher.

Any other things you like to buy at Rancho Liborio?  I like their big bags of tortilla chips!
