Amanda emailed in with a tip on a free class about geocacaching at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Geocaching was mentioned by several readers as a great cheap thing to do in the Springs! Here’s info on the class:
The class is called Basic GPS and Geocaching and will be held Saturday, May 15th at 10 AM at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. It’s recommend for adults and children ages 9 and over, and Amanda said the advertisement she saw said “GPS units are provided and after classroom instruction, participants can go on a guided search for geocaches in the park.”
You can call the park at 719.576.2016 for more information, and it’s been added to the [calendar]. Thanks, Amanda!
