If you were just going to buy these three deals, here’s how I’d do them to maximize your Register Rewards:
- First, do the Eos deal and pay $2.99 + tax at checkout. You’ll end up with a $2.99 Register Reward
- Next, use the $2.99 Register reward to buy the Pantene hair care (plus a smaller filler item*) and pay 1¢ + tax at checkout. You’ll have a $2 Register Reward after this transaction.
- Finally, use your $2 Pantene RR to do the Infusium deal. You’ll need to have a small filler item on this transaction as well, otherwise your total will be 99¢ + tax and you’ll be trying to pay with a $2 RR – Walgreens typically won’t give you overage.
Ultimately, you’ll pay about $2.99 plus some tax for one Eos Shave Cream, two Pantene Hair Care Products, and one Infusium Hair Care products if you do the deals with the coupons I used above.
Now, you’ll want to be very careful to note that Walgreens only lets you use one coupon per actual item – meaning if you have three items and four coupons, you’ll need an item to cover that fourth coupon (even if those four coupons are “covered” by the first three items – just throw in any filler).
Also, Walgreens doesn’t typically let you use a Register Reward to pay sales tax, and they won’t give you any overage from the Register Reward, so make sure your totals are such that you’ll still be paying cash for the tax after Register Rewards.
And above all, remember that Walgreens policies vary by store/cashier and none of the above may apply and more than above may apply! :) More tips on shopping at Walgreens here.
