The Western Museum of Mining and Industry is having their second annual “Rock Fair” this Saturday (9 AM to 4 PM) and Sunday (9 AM to 3 PM). They’ll have demonstrations, rock-talks, and more. They’ll also be running the Yellow Jacket Stamp Mill – sounds intruiging, but I’m not sure what it is!
Admission is reduced for this weekend only: adult admission is $5 and children get in for $2. Lori emailed me about this deal and said they recently visited this museum and that it was awesome! They’re going back again this weekend, it was that good.
By the way, earlier this week there was Groupon deal for the this museum, and I called to ask if that could be used in conjunction with the reduced admission. They told me the Groupon would cover two admissions and that yes, you could use it this weekend. Though, if you think you may want to go twice it might be better to pay the reduced admission this weekend and then use your Groupon later.
Check out the museum’s website for more! And, don’t forget about the long list of other museums to visit in Colorado Springs.
