There are a couple of cool kids’ workshops going on this Saturday! Keep reading for details, and make sure to get signed up soon if you want to attend, as both require registration.
Go behind the scenes of a credit union
Springs Bargains’ current sponsor, Ent Federal Credit Union, offers financial education classes several times a month, and there’s one coming up that sounds like it would be a lot of fun! They’re doing the Kids’ Star Savers Center Tour on Saturday, August 14 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. They’ll do a class about where money is made, why you should save, how to save, having a saving account, and then go behind the scenes of the credit union!
It’s appropriate for ages 5-12, but space is limited, so call (719.574.1100, ext 6670) or go to their website and get a reservation today. For your teenagers, they’ll also be offering a Money Management for Teens seminar on August 24. Check out the rest of their free seminars, for both adults and kids.
Build a Bug Box at Lowe’s
Lowe’s is having a free kids’ Build and Grow Workshop this Saturday, August 14th – they’ll be building a “Bug Box”! And, participants get to keep their project, an apron, safety goggles, a patch, and a certificate; plus they’ll also get a coupon for a free Junior Frosty from Wendy’s.
Go here to register and find out which locations are participating.
