That’s us, enjoying our free trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo last week! You can get in free, too – keep reading…
I’m excited to announce that Ent Federal Credit Union is Springs Bargains’ newest site sponsor! Throughout this month, I’ll be featuring their kids’ Money Space savings programs and other resources they offer for kids and parents.
As I’ve worked with Ent, I’ve been really impressed at their focus on financial education. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a financial institution – bank or credit union – that’s offered such great financial education resources to their members or customers. I’m excited to be partnering with them and hope you’ll take advantage of some of their great resources as I highlight them this month!
So, what do Ent and free tickets to the zoo have to do with each other? Through the end of August, they’re offering a free ticket to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and a free super-soft elephant plush toy when you set up a kids’ Money Space savings account! That’s some awfully fast “interest” on a bank account!
I set up accounts for my two oldest and it was very quick and easy. There’s a $35 minimum opening deposit, and you’ll need your ID as an adult as well as identification for your kids (an original Social Security card satisfies that requirement).
You can find more info on setting up a kids’ savings account on Ent’s Money Space page. Their Money Space program for ages 12 and under is called Star Savers and for ages 13-17 it’s the Galaxy program. They have 27 locations in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Pueblo. It’s a great time to set up an account and encourage your kids to start saving!
Hurry, the free zoo ticket and plush elephant toy offer ends on August 31st, and it’s while supplies last! (The zoo ticket you’ll receive is valid through April 30, 2011.)
