Don’t forget: shop at Sam’s for free (and maybe Costco, too)

Don’t forget – Sam’s Club is open to the public this weekend (August 6-8).  There’s no membership required to shop, and no surcharge, either!

Costco is almost never open to the public (at least as far as I know!), but you may be able to shop at Costco without a membership.  How?

Costco’s cash card allows you to shop at Costco like a member – it’s apparently like a gift card and memebership card in one.  However, only members can buy a cash card. So, if you’ve got a friend with a Costco membership, you could give them money and ask them to buy you a cash card to use at Costco!

I’m guessing, though, that you’d need to be able to pay for your entire order with the cash card – so, it could be a little tricky to make sure you load just enough – but not too much – on to the card to pay for your purchases without having excess left over, just sitting on the card.

Anyone tried this?
