Michael’s Arts and Crafts store hosts kids’ workshops regularly, and this one looks like a super-fun one if you’ve got a little girl in your family: they’ll be holding an American Girl event this Saturday, September 25, from 10 AM to 2 PM, and it looks like they’ll be making “doll-sized crafts” of some sort.
It’s open to girls ages 8 and up, and you’ll probably want to want to arrive closer to 10 AM than 2 PM as it is while supplies last. I’d also recommend calling the store you plan on attending to make sure they’re participating. More info here. Thanks, Tara!
As a side note, my friend Jen from Beauty and Bedlam is amazingly creative, frugal, and gutsy. She was determined to get her girls an American Girl doll and didn’t want to pay full-price, so when she went around to garage sales, she asked – and got one! If that isn’t an awesome way to be frugal, I don’t know what is!
