If you’re looking for something fun, free, and educational to do this weekend, there are some great options:
Saturday is Public Lands Day, which means free admission to over 100 national parks! There are eight here in Colorado; for a list, click here.
Saturday is also National Museum Day – you can print this pass to get in free to many Smithsonian museums across the country. There’s quite a few in Colorado; and in Colorado Springs specifically, the locations are the Money Museum, May Natural History Museum, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, McAllister House Museum, Miramount Castle Museum, and the World Figure Skating Museum and Hall of Fame.
Interestingly, I saw that the Pueblo Zoo is on the list of Colorado museums as well – might be a good time to visit the zoo for free; it might be less crowded than other free days.
