Every year, Chipotle holds a “Boorito” day on Halloween, and in the past, they’ve offered a free burrito when you dress up like one! (See our Boorito pics from last year – you will love my tortilla earrings.)
This year, they’re putting a different spin on it: in conjunction with Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, they’re asking you to dress up like a “horrifying processed food product” and in return, you’ll get a burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos for $2. Not quite as good as free, but still a fun deal.
You can go here to read more about Boorito Day 2010. Thanks to my friend [bargainbriana] for the tip!
So, I have to ask: will you dress up like a processed food product to get a $2 burrito? I’m not sure I will… $2 is a big jump from free if you have to get together a costume to get the discount!
PS – yesterday, I learned that the steak at Chipotle locations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo is Callicrate beef from Ranch Foods Direct. So, at least for that part of their menu, it is more than just a marketing gimmick. More about Callicrate beef soon. :)
