New Safeway deals: cheap Ziploc bags, Kleenex

Safeway put out a midweek ad in Sunday’s paper, and in it were a few store coupons that make for some nice deals:

Ziploc Bags (15-30 ct) – $1.49 with in-ad coupon, limit 1
Coupon requires minimum purchase of $10
Use $0.40/1 Ziploc Bags – 10/10/2010 SS Insert
Net cost at checkout: $0.69
Rating: 5

Kleenex Facial Tissue (110 ct) – $0.79 with in-ad coupon, limit 1
Coupon requires minimum purchase of $10
Rating: 4 – might see better deals this winter, but if you need them now this is a great price

10% off Any Frozen Items with in-ad coupon
Must purchase $15+ of frozen food
Rating: not a good deal on it’s own, but if you’re buying items that are already a good deal (like Breyer’s ice cream and Freschetta pizza), it could be a nice coupon.

These in-ad coupons are valid through Saturday, October 16.  Don’t forget about the 25¢ Barilla deal and the free Nivea chapstick that Safeway has through Tuesday!

PS – I did the Ziploc deal last night, but realized after I’d left the store that the in-ad coupon did that weird thing they sometimes do and only deducted a penny (and didn’t adjust the price of the item at all).  So, check your receipt before you leave to make sure it came off properly!

And just a note that per Safeway’s blog, they do allow the combining of store and manufacturer’s coupons, though  few stores set their own rules on this every now and then.
