I am super-duper excited to announce that we’ll now be featuring Walgreens deals on Springs Bargains every week! Lisa has been working “behind the scenes” for me for a few months, and does a great job – so great that I asked if she would be willing to cover Walgreens as well!
Lisa will be bringing the Walgreens deals to you each Saturday, and I hope you guys will find it helpful. Please welcome her by leaving a comment and telling her THANKS for finally enabling Springs Bargains to post weekly Walgreens deals!
Walgreens is a great place to get some good deals each week. Although I won’t spend too much time on specific medicines, I will highlight any FREE or ALMOST FREE items that would be worth picking up. :-)
Shopping the “deals” at Walgreens can be a little tricky at times but once you learn the store policies, it can be a lot of fun. Many of the Walgreen deals center around their “Register Rewards” (a.k.a. RR) so you’ll want to be familiar with this type of coupon. And, be sure NOT to let your RR expire – most of the time they can be used for two weeks once they are issued.
Be sure to read “Walgreens Coupon Policy and FAQ” if you are a new Walgreens shopper, or even if you aren’t sure that you’re making the most of your shopping experiences!
I’ve shopped at several different Walgreens in the Springs and I find that it’s a good thing to talk to the manager of the store you shop to determine exactly what will be honored. Then, when a cashier is unfamiliar with the store policy, you can let them know what you were told by the manager (know his/her name as well).
One of the things I love the most about Walgreens, is checking out the weekly ads several weeks ahead on the website iheartwags.com. This helps a lot as you plan to use those RR!
And, another little bit of trivia that I discovered a few months ago, Walgreens is often referred to as “Wags.” :-)

Remember that you can never use more coupons (total number of manufacturer, store, and RR) than items in a single transaction. Sometimes you need to grab a couple small items so that you can equal things out. Here’s a good “filler” for this week.
Russell Stover Halloween Candy (.88 – 1.25 oz) or Nestle Halloween Candy (1.2-2.1 oz) – $0.29 each, limit 6
