Do you wash your grocery bags?

Saw this headline from News First 5 and I had to click: Gross-ery Bags – Wash Those Things!  Apparently, we tend to neglect washing our reusable bags and things like fungus, diphtheroids, bacillus, staph epidermidis (whatever all that is!) may develop inside the bags.

In one study, they found over half of the bags they tested contained E.coli!  So, you might about washing them every now and then for health’s sake.  Let’s not save the enviroment while making our families sick. :)

Do you wash your bags?  Do you still use plastic for stuff like meat?
