Give: items to donate to charity this week

One of the awesome things about bargain shopping is that it enables many of us to not only save money on our own food, but also on food for others.

Obviously, we should generous throughout the year, but during the next couple of months I want to encourage everyone to spend just a few dollars more at the grocery store and drop it in the food collection boxes that many stores have at their entrances, or at a food pantry.  A coupon shopper can get a lot of food for a few bucks!

Here are some items that are on sale for $1 or less this week that would be appreciated by almost any food pantry.  Some require a coupon, others do not.

Another suggestion: consider cutting out coupons for products you wouldn’t normally use yourself.  This is a fantastic time of year for grocery sales and you will likely be able to get many things free or cheap that you can donate!
