Safeway: Hot Hallmark Cards Promotion

I stopped by Safeway this morning, and found out there’s a hot catalina promotion on Hallmark cards going on at Safeway through February 18th: buy three Hallmark cards, get a $5 catalina to use on your next purchase!

The coupon will expire on February 21st.  You should be able to do the deal once per transaction, then take the $5 catalina back buy three more cards and earn another catalina.  Or, of course, you can use the catalina on anything else.

This deal does not include 99¢ cards, so I don’t think you will be able to get any free-after-catalina.  But, if you figure earning a $5 catalina for buying cards is like saving $1.66 per card, it’s still a pretty hot deal.  The cheapest card I saw today was about $2.50, but I didn’t look too extensively.

One more Safeway note: near the customer service counter there was an Oscar Mayer coupon booklet that had a coupon for $1 off a produce purchase of $5 or more!
