Wow! There are loads of great deals at Walgreens this week! For those of you with kids, Huggies and Pedia Care are at rock-bottom prices! And, you just can’t beat those prices on Red Baron pizza and pistachios.
I picked up some of the Nivea aftershave a few months ago and my husband loves it – so I guess I better pick up a couple more this week.
Last week there were some questions on the number of coupons allowed in one transaction. I commented on that and hope this might clear up some confusion.
“I was told that in-store coupons that are noted within the ad (i.e. “instant in-store savings”) do not count toward the coupon count. Store coupons that are “in-ad” that you clip and take to the store, do count toward the coupon count. And, if you have a $1/2 coupon (or the $0.50/3 Kleenex coupon that I used last week), you want the cashier to scan that coupon last.
It truly counts as just 1 coupon but the computer attaches it to the number of items listed and then will beep when you try to use more. As you will find, not too many of the cashiers realize the order that the coupons need to be swiped in order to avoid the computer rejecting something that should not be rejected. Hope that helps with a little of the confusion. “
Once again, be sure to read “Walgreens Coupon Policy and FAQ” if you are a new Walgreens shopper, or even if you aren’t sure that you’re making the most of your shopping experiences!

Filler Items
Remember that you can never use more coupons (total number of manufacturer, store, and RR) than items in a single transaction. Sometimes you need to grab a couple small items so that you can equal things out. Here are some good “fillers” for this week. The items marked with an asterisk (*) are the best fillers because they don’t add to your coupon count!
*Big Roll Bath Tissue (1000 sheets) – $0.39, limit 6
*Kleenex Facial Tissue (78 or 110 sheets) – $0.89, limit 6
Bowl Fresh (1.76 oz) or Xcel Solid Air Freshener (5 oz) – $0.50 with in-ad coupon, limit 4
*Campbell’s Chicken Noodle or Tomato Soup (10.75 oz) – $0.49, limit 6
Jell-O – $0.50 with in-ad coupon, limit 4
Sweethearts (1 oz), Wonka Sweetarts (1.5 oz) or Nestle (1-1.2 oz) – $0.39 with in-ad coupon, limit 6
